🌟 Bring Light Everywhere 🌟 I am blessed to have&nbsp;a very unique&nbsp;Chinese name,&nbsp;which means&nbsp;”Bring light everywhere”. This name has always felt like a call to action for me: a mission to help more people. For me, the cornerstone of making a meaningful difference is through community building. From an early age, I outlined a to-do list for my life: 1) Travel around the world; 2) Earn a Ph.D.; 3) Build a company. While studying in Germany, I embraced the opportunity to explore&nbsp;many countries, one of the most beautiful country I have ever been to is Croatia.&nbsp;My trip to Croatia turned out to be a turning point in my life. One early morning, I hiked up a mountain alone and looked out at the sea. I thought about all the countries I'd been and felt thankful. I crossed the first item on my to-do list: travel around the world. Right then, I decided it was time to go for my next goal: a Ph.D. in the US. I stopped traveling and worked hard on my Ph.D. applications. I also started a community for people applying for&nbsp;Ph.D.s&nbsp;where we could share advice and support. We talked every day and became good friends. The group made everyone feel less stressed because we all helped each other. There was one girl in the group who was very nervous about her interview. She would call me often, and I always tried to help. Once, she called me, crying sadly, because she had received a rejection from Harvard. I spent many hours encouraging her. In the end, she was accepted to Stanford, and almost everyone else got into schools in the US, too. They all thanked me for helping them during their tough times. It feels great to be part of their stories, and they are a part of mine as well. I began my Ph.D. journey in the US in 2017. Last year, when my professor approved my defense date, I realized that I had completed my Ph.D., marking off the second item on my to-do list: Earn a Ph.D. I decided to proceed to my third goal: Build a company. When I came to the Bay Area, I realized that the future of Silicon Valley is not determined by the FANG companies, but by the next generation of innovators like FANG. I aim to build a community where we can collaboratively create the next great company together. By the way, 'FANG'&nbsp;is also my family name. ​The Bay Area Founders Club consists of 120+ startups and 80+ VCs. Most startups have raised $1-5M, with some exceeding $20M. Our mission is to foster a strong and collaborative community of AI and Web3 entrepreneurs and investors, where we can all grow together. Many founders in the Founders Club were born in the '90s or belong to Gen Z. Unlike the older generation, who preferred finding jobs in Silicon Valley, members of the Founders Club, as I've observed, exhibit greater confidence than our parents.
